Winter Whitetails

Taking a Nikon D300 with a 80-400mm zoom lens is not the easiest way to cross country ski around the Lake Lansing Park area, but the additional weight does increase the amount of exercise involved and allows me to capture scenes like this:

And like this:

Deer in the fading sunlight.
The thing is, there’s more deer out there.  And this snow may not last.  So, off I go for another good work-out, made all the more so with my camera.
