Last year, we began a new tradition for Father’s Day–matching shirts for the guys.
This year, after learning that our favorite waitress at our favorite restaurant near Dad’s (IHOP) doesn’t like MSU garb, we bought some shirts just to make her laugh.
Last year, Dad got a weed wacker that he claimed he wanted. This year, we got Dad something more fun.
The problem was, Mark seemed to like it, too.
As a result of seeing Mark’s propensity for HIS toy, Dad kept his toy pretty close by. And he fired all his missles at Mark.
And of course, that’s really not fair for Mark to be defenseless. So, next year for Father’s Day, I’ll be getting two tanks (or Nerf guns or what not), one for Dad and one for Mark. But then Arthur will be left out, so I’ll have to get one for Arthur, too. Along with matching shirts? This might have been a bad idea.
