It came from Pet Smart and it was Dusty’s reward for putting up with being washed, trimmed and having his nails ground. See, Dusty loves his new toys. And he brings them to bed.
In fact, I have to confess I’ve also slept with a frog.
And I’ve slept with a chicken.
My favorite might be the orange monkey.
The orange spider is a really pleasant thing to roll over onto in the middle of the night.
I also like birds in my bed.
I’ve also slept with a banana.
Finally, I must admit to sleeping with a green pepper.
I suspect there are other pet owners out there like me; owners that have spoiled their loyal dog and sleep with things they’d just assume their friends not know about. I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to sleep with fuzzy toys. And it’s okay if, upon rolling over in the middle of the night and hearing a toy squeak, you find yourself smiling.
Bring Dusty and his toys over sometime and let me see if he will let me sleep with one or more toys.
I’m glad you figured it out…what you really sleep with every night is one spoiled dog. 🙂
Loved the photos — fun post Amy.
Aby
how funny, I admit to sleeping with a squeaky menagerie too.
I confess I have slept with my sweetie pie pit bull under my covers by my toes, and at the bottom of my sleeping bag (how can he breath?), and also, it is true, with his favorite “road kill” ….. the remains of many a once-stuffed doggy toy.
